About the Author of VP Truth

Rob Singer, a professional gambler from Arizona, has been playing video poker since 1990 - and for profit since 1997. Having been to countless casinos in most parts of the world and throughout the USA, his preference is to play seriously only in Nevada LV, Laughlin & Lake Tahoe/Reno) and he travels there monthly. Each year he wisely sets a pre-determined win goal, and when it is reached he immediately stops playing professionally until the next calendar year. A self-proclaimed “video poker addict” during his initial long-term strategist years (and name another of that type who would ever admit to something like that) he now plays FAR less hours than ever before – for instance, surpassing his win goals of $75,000 & $50,000 in 2006 & 2007 (@ $91,000 & $69,000) while playing just 51 hours & 20 hours respectively.

Several years ago, after buying, reading, and studying virtually every publication, newsletter, and laminated card packs/software programs on the market, and spending valuable time needlessly practicing at home in order to supposedly become a more feared long-term strategy player in the casinos, Mr. Singer realized just who was benefitting from all this, and became aware of the fact that his money was disappearing in more ways than one.
It was then that he decided to do something about it, developing his own "play strategy" - as he calls it - which has made him a consistent winner; long-term, short-term, any term. The major difference between his play strategy and the so-called long-term winning strategy? He makes it clear that only certain, dedicated people can win using his strategy, while long-term advocates incorrectly state that you will win over some obscure amount of time using their strategy. "A marketing ploy, to be sure" states Rob.

"Coming out with a new, successful strategy for a game such as video poker that basically is not 100% grounded in mathematics will probably evoke the wrath of the video poker gods", the author says, but adds "people have got to be weary of losing to the myth of long-term strategy, and they certainly must be as tired as I am of reading week in and week out the same old statistical expectations about the game, that computers will experience over billions of hands". “It’s time people realize once and for all that they are not in a classroom when they are playing for real!”

Rob lost an accumulated $250,000 playing as a optimal-play math expert from 1990-1996, and then he woke up. He put together a gambling-only bankroll of $171,600 – which was mathematically calculated to be optimal for his particular circumstances and overall goals.
He now utilizes five distinct self-developed Play Strategies, which combined have helped him consistently reach and surpass his yearly win goals every year since 1997.

In his first in a series of down-to-earth, easy to read books on video poker that promise to be far more intriguing, immensely more interesting, bold, truthful and refreshing than anything before it,
Undeniable Truth is the result of several years of factfinding, along with a word you have heard before: DETERMINATION. With this, Rob Singer has opened a new era in video poker, and has certainly earned recognition as the premier player of our day.
