Cmon people---havent you had enough of the casinos patronizing you yet? The holidays are upon us, and whats this---youre scrambling around feverishly looking for the casinos that offer multiple points days? Huh??
So here we go again. More explanations and more of the same old BS from advantage players who need to cover their tracks no matter what they do. When these APs see 6X, 7X or even 10X, they nearly wet their pants. Why? Because when casinos do that, theyre upping the theoretical payout of all their video poker machines many to well over 100%. And what does that mean?
Well, it instantly creates a positive playing experience for those who have fooled themselves into thinking 1.5% on the positive side automatically translates into a winning session. It allows virtually any player who loses any amount of money during that particular promotion to apply their own value to the comps and freebies they receive, and in turn allows them to claim theyve won. Yes, its as stupid as that...only it gets stupider.
In the cases where so much is lost that no amount of value would ever allow the creation of a winner out of thin air, the player then uses their next trick: phantom bucks. You see, no matter how much was lost to the machines, if the player was playing in a POSITIVE EV environment, the longer and more hands he or she played, the more he or she can say they theoretically won at X amount/hour. And no, it does not get any stupider than that!
Weve all seen where this guru or that guru claims to be a winner year after year after year. And weve all seen where Ive caught them at their lies and misrepresentations time and time again. Still, theres thousands and thousands of these people who either live in Las Vegas or come to Las Vegas at least once a month, always believing they can beat the casinos at their own game of math.
Deceptive to say the least, right? Then you can see their irritability whenever I report how Ive won consistentlymore consistently than even their lies, reallyby taking my reported profits directly and only from the machines. I leave all that slot club fluff for extras, and they never count one bit towards any sort of total anytime at all.
But why then do so many players wake up starry-eyed thinking about getting all those points today at the casino over there? Its all about a severe addiction, folks, and it has nothing to do with the machines. Theyre addicted to the slot cards, and in addition to all those beautiful points, all they can think about is their slot club status. Sure its silly; sure its a huge waste of ones time. But to them, its more important than the groceries and more important than their car.
Have you actually SEEN the number of beaters and junkers rolling on the streets of Sin City? Have you ever noticed the number of cars driving around that town in the dead of summer with their windows rolled down, simply because they pissed their money away on a video poker machine instead of getting the air conditioning fixed?
I live in Phoenix, and there are some pretty impressive looking casinos around this town too. But even though I play the game professionally and for a living and have done so for nearly 10 straight years, I have no idea of and I never read about whether or not they have multiple points days at any of the joints. Why? Because I dont care about Indian casinos, I believe they offer gaffed video poker all across the country, and I dont play at them.
Yet Ill bet you that more than half the residents of Las Vegas know very well the whereabouts of tomorrows 3X, 5X, 6X and more point multipliers. Its all part of the same game the casinos use to maintain the buildings they have today, and to build more buildings tomorrow. While local APs pretend the extra stuff is being given to them either out of the kindness of the casino managers hearts, or due to some error in judgment, they react to these things like rats following the pied piper. They almost always bring more cash than they normally would, and they are often seen at the casino ATMs making complete fools out of themselves day in and day out.
Multiple point-chasing is for suckers and losers, period. You play to WIN, not for the points. Casinos want you to think getting more points will make you happy, so a vast majority of players actually get happy as they see their point totals accumulate and grow. Talk about stupid...
